The DemocrACCy initiative is a cross-university challenge to support improved student democratic engagement. With the 15 member institutions in ACC approximately 325,000 students will be engaged in nonpartisan civic learning, political engagement, and student voter participation.

The 2020 DemocrACCy Award Winners are:
- Highest Voter Registration – North Carolina State University
- Most Improved Voter Turnout Award – Wake Forest University
- Highest Voter Turnout – University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Best Democratic Engagement Action Plan – Clemson University
