Big Ten Voting Challenge

DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT
REGISTER. VOTE. WIN.

Which university will be the winner of the Big Ten Voting Challenge? The Big Ten Voting Challenge is a competition among the 18 universities in the Big Ten Conference. Universities will be competing to win two titles – “Greatest Overall Turnout” and “Greatest Increase in Voting Rates”. The winners will be chosen based on data provided by the National Study on Learning, Voting, and Engagement and announced in Fall 2022 at a virtual awards ceremony. The winning universities will be presented with trophies.

The inaugural Big Ten Voting Challenge Winners in 2019 were the University of Minnesota and Rutgers University for having the Greatest Overall Turnout and the Greatest Increase in Voting Rates, respectively.
